When I hear ‘rolls’ and its something to eat, what comes to mind are vietnamese fresh rolls, tootsie rolls, twinkie rolls, but not ice cream rolls.
I didn’t even know something like that existed until I saw this long line up outside of this ice cream store downtown Toronto. I wondered what’s so special about an ice cream store and well, the photo above explains. Almost $8 later, I finally got my hands on an Earl Grey ice cream topped with cornflakes and whip cream drizzled with something that looked like condensed milk. I was looking forward to indulging……took my first bite and….it was alright. It was great presentation I must say, and watching how they made it was cool. But the taste was ok. I do think Tom’s on queensway in Etobicoke and Ed’s Real Scoop (Roncesvaille and the beaches) is better tasting. But I did appreciate the rolls, the exotic flavours they have. It was worth trying. |
