Read Now

Picture
Vacations, or traveling means different things for different people. For many travellers, going on vacation is journeying to a popular beach destination or staying at all-inclusive resorts. For others, it is hopping from place to place, taking in as much adventure along their way.
But for a new growing population of travellers, wellness travel has come to the forefront, with travellers wanting to focus more on their well-being. This is opening the doors for a new market of vacation retreats.
If combining travel with self-discovery and well-being is on your interest list, wellness, yoga, spirituality and women’s retreats can provide you with that focused attention so attendees can experience major transformation. The type of transformation will vary depending on the theme of the retreat. Regardless of the theme, attendees walk away from retreats with a renewed sense of self-empowerment, rejuvenation, and sometimes even an awakening that changes their life permanently.
Activation Retreats offer both womens retreats and co-ed retreats. These mystical journeys, held at sacred portals around the world, will help you connect inward, and raise your frequency. What does this all mean?
For anyone looking to do the inner work and transform themselves so they can live more in alignment with who they are, Activation Retreats provide them with the space and facilitators needed to make that shift. For instance, you will be guided to: heal past trauma, feel empowered, joy, freedom, clarity, purpose and generally a shedding of your illusions. By letting go of what no longer serves you, you open up to a whole new way of living.
These events are not only held by two world-class facilitators and travellers who have done the work themselves, these events are held in energetic healing vortexes. Just by being at these sacred sites and portals will provide you access to a source of healing that city centers cannot provide. You will also meet local healers and wisdom keepers as well as bond with people of all ages to experience a deepening of sisterhood.
Activation Retreats will be hosting four retreats in 2019 and five in 2020 from Peru, India, US, Egypt just to name a few countries. The Five F's

The Five F's

The five F's that are a priority in my life are not specific, concrete things but rather concepts. A way of living is more on my radar than materials. They are:
1) Fun
This is not just about meeting up with friends, going out and having some wild fun. It's about discovering what is fun to me, trying new things, decreasing doing things that does not feel good (if not eliminate it all together), not being too serious 24/7 (and I can get in that mode sometimes). Fun to me is proactively finding moments that make you feel joy and to me, that will open up my creativity that I've been closed off to for some time.
2) Freedom
This is more of a mental state. For many people, freedom means having all the money in the world before you can be free. ie. not having to work, not having to be anywhere at any time etc. However, if you're going to wait until all the money comes, you could be waiting for a long time. Why not change perception so that feeling of freedom can come now? That may actually attract more abundance. So how can I possibly do this? A small way is to not focus too much on the time (I no longer wear a watch because of always looking at it). Or making steps so your day is not so much dependant on time. ie. finding a remote job, tell your micromanaging boss you'd appreciate some independence, give up a task you don't like in the evening. At the very least, know we all have freedom. The freedom to choose every single day. This leads to my next F.
3) Flow
I definitely need more of this. I actually thrive on structure, and needing to know whats next and whats after that and that etc. I think it's a need for control on what needs to be done. That need literally takes away any flow I want in my everyday life. I don't mean to let go of everything and just let things go whichever way it decides. But what I do need is to be ok with not knowing steps A-Z and letting my left-side brain take the reins just as much as the right. It could probably lead to better scenarios along the way. This is what Esther Hicks and Abraham call inspired action. The more I can let flow in, the easier I'm sure things will feel. Being present is my first step here. Addressing the present is ultimately going with the flow.

4) Faith
I think in order to do any of the above takes a lot of faith. Not in a religious way but rather, faith that things will turn out as it should and you don't have to control everything. Many are so concerned with responsibilities they either don't have time to have fun, they don't know what fun is, or fun is not allowed when things have to be done. If that's the case, then there's a fear behind it. The most primal fear that you won't survive if you don't do x,y,z. But if you replace fear with faith, everything you do will be based on your real self. Not to mention, things will naturally enter your life simply because there's more flow.
5) Fit
Lastly, working towards my ideal fitness level is in the radar. Well, it's always been but this year I just feel that extra motivation. It's probably the most challenging goal since I'm such a foodie but the feeling of achieving it would be so worth it. I have to admit, as I get older I can feel my internal energy not as high as in my 20s. It seems my body takes on the bad food way more easier than taking it off. I cannot let that get worse as I get into my late 30s. For this reason, my nutrition is going to take a turn (as I drink wine).

The Only Constant In Life Is Change

The Only Constant In Life Is Change

Picture
Just like trees never have the same leaves every season, our lives will have changes every season. For some, change is something to fear especially if those changes are uncertain, unknown. For others, change is something to look forward to especially if its perceived to be 'greener' than their current reality. Either way, change is the one thing that is constant in our lives.
If you love it, that makes the ride a lot more smoother. If there are attachments (people, places, things, jobs etc) your not willing to let budge, it could be an uncomfortable scenario, even painful, especially if your happiness wasn't in that equation to begin with.
Many believe accepting too many changes or letting too many changes happen mean not having stability or security. But truly, being stable is being able to land on your feet even when the rug gets pulled from under them. Being stable is finding your happiness when things around you that you no longer need crumbles.
Besides, only you can account for what life best represents you. No one can judge that. When life hits you with unexpected curve balls, it could be direction to whats next, it could be clues to what needs to go or what you have to work on.
Change is such a broad concept but whatever change is happening in your life or about to happen, embrace it.

Butterfly

Picture
Just as butterflies do not fly in a straight line,
Our lives do not unfold in a straight line in
predictability, certainty, or assurance
We will always have more than 1 decision to make in every situation
Each decision to bring us in another direction where we will then make
Another decision
The directions that are presented to us are endless and limitless
There is never any knowing or guarantees what is at the end of a decision
But the most important thing to know while going through endless twists and turns
Is that you live it according to the heart and soul
Not to what others expect of you

Just as butterflies symbolize transformation and change
We, as beings, transform and change with each decision we make
We shed parts of ourselves we no longer need
We grow and learn to accept consequences of our actions
And in time we will again go through another transformation
A change in form and state when we go back home

Soul vs Personality: What is the Difference?

Picture
The soul and the personality are two entities
That coincides within everyone of us
The personality perceives life within a narrow framework
It perceives situations only with the five senses and its principle lies with rationality
The soul perceives life beyond the five senses
And views situations with a higher sense of purpose
The soul always seek for higher good
And what is to be learned, even in the darkest hour

For some, the soul is stronger within them
While in others, the personality is stronger
For most, the soul and personality conflicts with one another
That is when one feels the right thing
But does another because it is easiest

In any situation, the soul and heart is the sure way
While the personality or mind only restricts you
And lead you to chaos and disruption
When life is troubling, listen to your heart
That is the difference between soul and personality
That is the difference between living with spirit and living to make ends meet

10 Habits For Staying Young

Picture
With cosmetic technology and procedures on the rise, looking young is not difficult to achieve. But BEING young and youthful cannot be achieved with just cosmetic devices. Not to mention it can lead to deep holes in the pocket. The good news is there are ways to look fabulous for free! Maintaining a high level of vitality rests upon your everyday habits. Since stress is one of the top age accelerators, avoiding high stress levels is key to maintaining your youth.

10 habits to cultivate in your everyday life include:
  • Keeping active. Find time everyday to keep your body moving. Whether it be walking your dog or playing with your children or running after them, moving prevents numerous degenerative conditions.
  • Paying attention to what you eat. For some, going all organic may be costly, however, various non-organic items are not all that bad. For eg, non-organic whole wheat is still healthier than junk food or deep fried foods.
  • Keeping your brain stimulated. Just because school is out does not mean reading is off limits. Pick up a book of your topic of interest. Work-related material does not count.
  • Taking time for reflection. A few minutes of silence a day to meditate has been said to slow down the aging process. Yoga, Qigong and Tai Chi are great practices to achieve inner solitude.
  • Always compliment yourself. Arrogance is not the same as being comfortable with yourself and having a humble level of self-confidence.
  • Keeping things simple. Avoid feeling overwhelmed with everyday tasks and future deadlines. Organization is great but staying in the presence is powerful.
  • Cultivating characters of patience, humility, courage and honesty. It will triumph over negative emotions when circumstances provoke.
  • Dancing like no one’s watching. Keep your favourite dance tunes handy when you do house chores. It is an energy booster!
  • Laughing. As long as it causes no offence to anyone, don’t try to limit your ability to laugh.
  • Sleep. Turn the computer power button off, put down that phone and give your body the rest it yearns for. 6-8 hours a night can make all the difference between w

Grasp Your Personal Power

Grasp Your Personal Power

Picture
Someone has asked me, how do you know if your on the right track in your life? I found it an interesting question. A question I think many people probably ask themselves, including myself. I'm sure in the upcoming years, that question will come up more often in people's minds as a part of our external world will crumble.
I believe to know if you're on the right track is to know the difference between your 6th sense, the vibration of fear, and the vibration of your true being (joy). I can only speak for myself when I say to live a fulfilling life is to run your own race; not to live by society's rules or anyone else's expectations IF it doesn't align with what your heart (seat of your soul) is saying. Stand out from the crowd and cultivate your intuition that will strengthen your character. When you feel a higher purpose calling out to you no matter how often you try to push it aside, that voice will not leave and you will know that is the right track for you.
Most often it is not the easiest path but once you start, you wont be able to look back nor would you want to. Everyone's consciousness is evolving, there is no other choice; however you can transcend with resistance or you can transcend openly.....if your open, the right track is already in front of you, now you just have to walk it. the full equation of life does not come from your 5 physical senses. the full equation of your thoughts = a level of vibration= the intensity of your energy = level of frequency = the horizon of your perception = and finally, the layers of your reality = parallel of your other co-existing realities (thats more of an accurate equation)

Change

Change

Picture
Change comes in every one of our lives, sometimes its expected, most often unexpected. For some, it is met with excitement; others, disappointment, even pain. Just know that in the end, change is for your own good, for your own benefit, no matter what illusion is before you.

To let go of things, situations, and even people that you may have loved for years only means the Universe is pushing you to make room for better experiences....a better you. To resist, it may cause inner discomfort but to face it with faith will lead to inner peace. Go your own path while letting others go theirs. Some, even those closest to you, are not yet ready to evolve at your pace or vice versa. Some people are meant to come into our lives for a short period of time to teach us lessons and there are others who were meant to be with us for the majority of our lifetime to assist us on our journey. Don't be fooled by your external circumstances, it is all but a learning environment, you learn, get it and move on up. Things and people come in and out of your life for a reason, embrace the good times brush off the bad. Remember, you are energy vibrating at a frequency...remain fluid, refrain from getting stagnant in your own growth.

Why Self-Love?

Self Love

Self love can be such a cliche term but its also the reason why divorce lawyers are so busy. Too many people enter relationships lacking sincere self love. Too many relationships have fear as the prominent foundation.
To be incomplete within yourself is to look for happiness through another person or circumstance but it will always lead to dissatisfaction and inevitably resentment. No external circumstance, let alone another person can give you true joy and happiness besides yourself. To enter a relationship already complete and if the other person is also complete, will lead to the enjoyment of love, not expectations; it leads to complementing each other, not completing each other.
Only then can real relationships develop and last. When you have an abundance of love for yourself, there is no threat of loss, hence the elimination of fear and all the negative reactions that come from fear.
